DAY 5: DUBROVNIK | MLJET (B, L, D)
Today we sail to Mljet – the most beautiful and most forested island in the Adriatic and one of the most beautiful pearls of the Mediterranean. Mljet is also well known for it’s two salted lakes – Veliko and Malo Jezero that are located at the north end of the island. The Benedictine monas-tery located at one of the most beautiful locations in these areas, on the island of St. Mary on Veliko jezero is also the most visited location and symbol of the National Park. Join the cruise manager on this magnifi-cent tour and check what is the reason this island was a favorite holiday spot for the Greek hero Ulysses. Captain’s dinner onboard. Overnight in port Pomena.
DAY 6: MLJET | HVAR (B, L)
Early in the morning we set sail to Hvar. It’s the longest and the sunniest island in Croatia, definitely one of the most beautiful islands in the world. It’s the sunniest island in Europe (2724 sunny hours each year)! No island has more UNESCO heritage in the world, and most probably you didn’t know the fact that the first public theatre in Europe is located right here on Hvar (older than Shakespeare’s theatre in the UK). Your evening is free to explore this amazing holiday spot by yourself. We suggest you to take a jeep safari which will take you away from the popular tourist resorts, on an intoxicating voyage of discovery through the aromatic hills of rosemary and lavender, through the various hilltop villages of the island, and along tracks off-limits to most vehicles. Note: port of call can be substituted for Stari Grad because of the limited capacity of Hvar harbor. In that case transfer to and from Hvar will be organized.
DAY 7: HVAR | BOL/MILNA | SPLIT (B, L)
Next we head to Brač, the largest island in central Dalmatia famous for two things: its radiant white stone, used to build Diocletian’s Palace in Split and the White House in Washington, DC, and Zlatni Rat, the long, golden, pebbly beach at Bol that extends lasciviously into the Adriatic. The beach protrudes over 500m out into the Adriatic sea, in a v-shape, surrounded by deep blue water. The shape of the beach changes with the wind, which makes it one of the unique in Croatia. If weather permits swim stop at the Golden Horn as we freshly prepare lunch on board.
Enjoy our last day specialties as we sail to our final port Split. Upon arrival, join the walking tour through Split with an expert guide who will bring the past to life and also tell you a lot about Split today. Stroll the streets of Split and learn many interesting facts that make this unique town’s history so full of intrigue. Take part of a story of this more than 1700 years old town, founded by a Roman emperor Diocletian who chose this beautiful place for his retirement residence. Let the story of who he was and why he loved Dalmatia so much amaze you! Overnight in Split.
