Itinerary

DAY 1: ZAGREB (D)

Welcome! You have arrived to Croatia’s capital. Transfer to the hotel, accommodation and dinner.

DAY 2: ZAGREB -TRAKOŠĆAN-ZAGREB (B, D)

This morning we will enjoy a guided walking city tour. The tour visits Zagreb’s core, the central Ban Jelačić Square, as well as the religious center Kaptol, with the spectacular Cathedral, and afterwards Zagreb’s ancient secular heart, Gradec, with the Stone Gate, St. Marco’s church and Lotršćak tower. After some free time for lunch, we will take a half day trip to Zagorje and the most romantic of Croatia’s castles – Trakošćan. Return to Zagreb in the evening.

Dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: ZAGREB – PLITVICE – ZADAR (B, D)

This day is dedicated to nature as we will visit the National Park Plitvice, a UNESCO natural heritage site. The park is the most visited nature site in Croatia for a good reason: its 16 crystalline lakes connect through various waterfalls spread out over travertine barriers cascading or dropping steeply from heights and offering amazing colours and views wherever you turn. Watch your step, stay on the marked paths and enjoy a train ride through the park and/or a boat ride over the lake Kozjak to get the most of it. After the visit we will continue to Zadar.

Dinner and overnight.

DAY 4: ZADAR – ŠIBENIK – SPLIT (B, L, D)

In the morning our local guide will introduce us to the city’s rich history and show us around its narrow streets called ‘kalè’. After the city tour we will head to Šibenik for a free walk around the city. If you like you can visit the famous UNESCO site – St. James’ Cathedral. For lunch we will venture to the ethno village restaurant and museum Pakovo selo. It is about a half an hour’s ride from Šibenik and a place to get to know the Dalmatian hinterland and have a really good authentic lunch. With our bellies full we continue towards Split, our final destination for today. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 5: SPLIT (B, WELCOME RECEPTION)

Morning city tour of Split, the ancient Roman city founded over 1700 years ago. Its history is still visible and preserved in the historical center, intertwined with more recent and even modern buildings in an almost cacophonic whole that is very particular of this town. Your local guide will introduce you to the city and we have included entrances to the Cellars of the emperor Diocletian, the Cathedral and Jupiter’s Temple. After the tour you say goodbye to the tour leader and our group in order to make your Cruise connection! Croatia is a land of islands as there are more than 1100 of them. This is the opportunity to visit some of them Transfer from your Split hotel to Split harbour where you will be welcomed by our cruise representative. Check in starts from 13:00h. Get settled and join welcome reception on board at 19:30. Overnight in Split.

DAY 6: SPLIT- KORČULA (B,L)

Early in the morning we set sail for the island of Korčula, rich in vineyards, olive groves, small villages with numerous bays and coves. Swim stop in one of the beautiful bays, perfect to enjoy the beautiful atmosphere of the unspoiled nature, lush vegetation and crystal clear sea. Lunch on board. Arrival to Korčula in the afternoon. This is said to be the birthplace of Marco Polo and we shall be taken on an interesting tour along the winding streets of this lovely town. After the tour, enjoy some free time to sip a glass of local wine or coffee at an outdoor cafe, take a dip in the sea or just continue walking the streets. Overnight in Korčula.

DAY 7: KORČULA-SLANO/STON- DUBROVNIK (B, T, D)

Early in the morning we depart to Slano, a small town indented into a 2km long bay. From here we will start our gastro adventure towards Ston, the gastronomic center of the county. The town with the longest walls in Europe is situated near Dubrovnik, and is surrounded by breath taking scenery which, together with the picturesque city architecture, forms a harmonic entity. Once we are there we will visit oyster farm in Ston where you will learn how oysters and mussels are cultivated in this region, and why they are so delicious. You will enjoy a rustic oyster and mussel tasting with local wine under the shade of the trees. After the tour, we continue our journey to Dubrovnik. Enjoy the sunset dinner while we sail alongside the old city walls. Enjoy the sunset usually only seen on beautiful pictures. This time is for you to make the magnificent photographs and memories that will last a lifetime.

Overnight in Dubrovnik.

DAY 8: DUBROVNIK (B)

After breakfast guided tour of the Old Town. After the tour of this stunningly intact walled city on the Adriatic Sea coast, we will take the cable car from the Old Town to Srđ mountain, a place with breathtaking views of the historic center of Dubrovnik, the crystal clear Adriatic Sea, and numerous islands. Have a drink, a snack or a meal at the snack bar or in the restaurant overlooking the Old City.

Overnight in Dubrovnik.

DAY 9: DUBROVNIK-MLJET (B, L, D)

Today we sail to Mljet – the most forested island in the Adriatic and one of the most beautiful pearls of the Mediterranean. Mljet is also well known for its two saltwater lakes – Veliko and Malo Jezero, located at the north-west end of the island. The Benedictine monastery, situated on the island of St. Mary on the Veliko Jezero, is one of the most beautiful historic localities on the Mediterranean, is also the most visited spots and symbol of the National Park. Here, you can join the cruise manager on an optional tour* of the National Park and find out why the Greek hero Ulysses considered it his favourite holiday spot. Captain’s dinner on board. Overnight in port Pomena.

*National Park entrance fee not included

DAY 10: MLJET-HVAR (B, L)

Early in the morning we set sail to Hvar. It is the longest island in Croatia and the sunniest in all of Europe (2724 sunny hours each year)! This is definitely one of the most beautiful islands in the world. You probably don’t know that the first public theatre in Europe is located right here on Hvar (older than Shakespeare’s theatre in the UK) which is only one detail testifying to the island’s rich cultural history. Your evening is free to explore this amazing holiday spot by yourself. We suggest you to take a jeep safari which will take you away from the popular tourist resorts, on an intoxicating voyage of discovery through the aromatic hills of rosemary and lavender, through the various hilltop villages of the island and along tracks off-limits to most vehicles.

Note: port of call can be substituted for Stari Grad because of the limited capacity of Hvar harbor. In that case transfer to and from Hvar will be organized by The operator.

DAY 11: HVAR-BOL-SPLIT (B, L)

Today we head to Brač, the largest island in central Dalmatia famous for two things: one, its radiant white stone, used to build Diocletian’s Palace in Split and the White House in Washington, DC, and two, the beach Zlatni Rat, a long, golden, pebbly beach near Bol that protrudes over 500m out into the Adriatic sea, and, surrounded by deep blue water, changes shape with the wind which makes it unique in Croatia. If weather permits we will make a swim stop there as we prepare lunch on board. Enjoy our last day specialties as we sail to our final port Split. The evening is free for you to roam the city on your own. Overnight in Split.

DAY 12: SPLIT (B)

After breakfast, it’s time to disembark. Transfer to airport.
