Opatija – Malinska – Baska (Krk) – Rab – Ilovik – Mali Losinj – Martinscica – Cres – Opatija

DAY 1 SATURDAY OPATIJA – MALINSKA (L,D)
HIKE: Njivice – Malinska
Arrival in Opatija harbor and check in from 11:00 till 12:00h. Departure at 13:00h. Lunch and journey to the island of Krk, to a pleasant tourist place Njivice. Walking along the sea to Malinska, enjoying hidden coves and scented vegetation. Overnight in Malinska.
DAY 2 SUNDAY MALINSKA – BAŠKA (B,L)
HIKE: Stara Baška – Veliki Hlam – Baška
After breakfast, departure to Stara Baška with panoramic navigation along the west coast of the island of Krk. Hike tour towards Baška. Steep climb to the west ridge of Baška valley with the stunning view to Baška, the valley and neighboring islands. Highest point of the route is Veliki Hlam (482m) followed by a descend to Baška, passing by Sanctuary of the Mother of God of Gorica and village Batomalj. We continue the educational trail to the center where the ship is waiting. Lunch on board and sailing to the town of Rab. Exploring the charming town of Rab famous for its four towers on the skyline and impressive architecture. Overnight in Rab.
NOTE: in case of bad weather conditions (bura wind), alternative walking tour is the Trail of golden drops which starts and ends in Krk.
DAY 3 MONDAY BAŠKA – RAB (B,L,CD)
HIKE 1: Rab – Kamenjak – Rab
HIKE 2: Ilovik Island
After breakfast, we hike up to Straža (409m), the highest point of Kamenjak hill and the island of Rab. An attractive rocky trail passes along the most beautiful constructed viewpoints to enjoy the breathtaking view of the mainland, Velebit mountain and the islands of Kvarner bay. Descend to the ship for lunch and cruise towards the island of flowers – Ilovik. Easy walk through the island absorbing scents of eucalyptus, rosemary, palms, roses and oleander. Optional Captain’s dinner on board with overnight in Ilovik.
DAY 4 TUESDAY RAB – ILOVIK – MALI LOŠINJ (B,L)
HIKE: Mali Lošinj – Sveti Ivan – Veli Lošinj – Mali Lošinj
Morning cruise during breakfast from Ilovik to Mali Lošinj. Hike tour to Sv. Ivan (250m) hill where you can enjoy fantastic view to the southern part of the Lošinj archipelago. Descend to the pretty town of Veli Lošinj for a coffee break and back to Mali Lošinj along the sea. Many people say that the joy of walking here is the glorious scent of wild plants and herbs. Lunch on board and free afternoon for visit the Lošinj aromatic garden or Museum of Apoxyomenos or just walk to the Čikat peninsula for swimming. Overnight in Mali Lošinj..
DAY 5 WEDNESDAY MALI LOŠINJ – CRES (B,L,D)
HIKE: Nerezine – Osoršćica – Osor
After breakfast, transfer to Nerezine (20 min) where starts the trail to the most beautiful viewpoint to Lošinj archipelago – Televrina peak (588m) on the Mount Osorščica. The first part of the trail to St. Nicolas chapel is pretty steep. We continue to the peak Televrina with the spectacular view of the Lošinj island, southern part of Cres island, neighboring islands and Velebit mountain. We will also visit the cave of St. Gaudentius – the patron saint of Osor who lived in. After relax on the top of the monutain, descend to mountain hut and further to the town that lies on 2 islands. The ship is waiting for us in Osor. Sail to the fishing village Martinšćica. Dinner on board and overnight in Martinšćica.
DAY 6 THURSDAY CRES (B,D)
HIKE: Martinšćica – Lubenice – Valun
After breakfast, we start the longest but the most attractive hiking tour of the cruise. Easy climb up from Martinšćica to the village Vidovići (280m) where starts the hiking path along the pastures and the dry-stone walls. After reaching the point of 350 m we enjoy the views of the Cres and Lošinj archipelago as well as the east coast of Istria. Soon we get to the top of this part of Cres island – Helm peak (482m) from where the Vransko lake can be seen. Further the path continues to Lubenice, picturesque village situated on 378m high cliff above the sea. After short break we descend to Valun where the ship takes us to the town of Cres. Dinner on board and overnight in Cres.
DAY 7 FRIDAY CRES – OPATIJA (B,L)
HIKE: Poklon – Vojak – Poklon (Učka mountain)
Early morning cruise to Opatija from where we have a transfer to Poklon saddle (922m) in Nature park Učka. The forests of Učka offer a pleasant cool climate in the summer time and the peak offers a unique view. Hiking to the highest peak of Učka – Vojak (1396m) where the tower was built in 1911. The trail runs through a thick forest of typical littoral beech with diverse geological formations and rare endemic plants and animal species. Enjoying a wonderful panoramic views of Istria, the Kvarner Bay with the islands, the mountains in the Gorski kotar area, Mount Velebit, the Alps, and Italy. Descend to Poklon saddle and transfer to Opatija. After lunch on board, free time to explore Opatija or walk on the famous Franz Joseph promenade, better known as Lungomare. Overnight in Opatija.
DAY 8 SATURDAY OPATIJA (B)
After breakfast, disembark by 9 am. Hope to see you again!¸

SWIMMING BREAKS: In good weather and depending on timing we will have regular stops for swimming while the ship anchors in secluded bays approximately 20-30 meters from the beach or after the hike before departure to next island.
HIKING ROUTE: The length of the daily hiking routes is estimated and informative and depends of various detours or short cuts that can be done on route. Sailing and hiking routes may be changed on the spot due to weather conditions and capability of the respective hikers on board. Departure depends on the program.
FOOD: Continental breakfast, lunch or packed lunch (depending of the daily program) and dinner on board. During our hiking routes we will recommend stops at local restaurants where you can sample the local specialties. These meals are not included in the price of the trip and are paid by the customers.
